Jim mentioned several things that need to be changed out, but its really not that hard to do. Sounds like you have all the needed parts on your old engines. I currently have a 102 in my 66 Monza while waiting to install my 140.
Actually, the 102 is a sweet engine.

Re: 140 miss at constant speed only
I will check my secondaries thoroughly. Troubleshooting may slow down as we are leaving for Helen, Ga this week.
When I am confident that this issue is resolved, the drive train is coming out to address a throwout bearing issue.
I'll be driving my 66 Monza to Helen. It runs great!

Re: 140 miss at constant speed only
The vacuum advance unit is new as I replaced it some time ago while I was chasing this problem. I verified that it is a 140 distributor, and the point plate has a ground wire. Yesterday afternoon disconnected the vacuum advance on the distributor and went for a test drive, including 70+ mph on the i...

140 miss at constant speed only
65 Corsa with 66 160. I have been chasing this miss for a year. I have what feels like a slight misfire when running at a constant speed. Does not happen on acceleration. So far I've replaced the sparkplugs, wires, cap, points, point plate, coil and condensers. with no change. Carbs have been rebuil...

Re: Bucket Seat Replacement
I too was looking at the local LKQ yard for a nice set of buckets for my LM convertible. I found that most later model cars have air bags built into the seats. I didn't like the idea of having a non-functional airbag on my shoulder. It might accidentally "function".

Dave, how do you install electric fuel pumps?

Re: 1965 with a/c
Thanks for the response. I have been comparing the air temp with my 2019 Toyota that has 50 years of improvement behind it. I have decided that my Corvair ac is working pretty good.

Re: 1965 with a/c
Thanks for the input y'all. I checked the temp at the evaporator and it's at 40 degrees. I think that I'm not going to try to improve it anymore. I will add that foam seal though . Regards

1965 with a/c
I've been working on the ac in my 65. converted to later condenser, added 2 9" fans, changed to sanden compressor, pulled vacuum and charged with r134. The temp of the air is 49 to 50 degrees, outside temp is 94.
is there a way that I can get colder air?

Re: A6 to Sanden
After looking at the amount of work it would take to modify the stock mounting brackets, I ordered the correct part from Clark's.

A6 to Sanden
Has anyone been successful in modifying the A6 compressor mounts to make a Sanden fit it? I know I can buy a bracket from Clark's but would like to use the stock one if possible.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: 1965 with a/c
So far my messages to the AirVair group have been unanswered. I figured they were no longer an active group.

Re: 1965 with a/c
Thanks for the info. One more thing...the compressor will cycle off and on while driving. Seems like it cycles every 2 to 3 minutes. Is that normal? This is the first AirVair that I have had since my Corvair in 73.
