Back up light switch Location

Working on my '63 three speed manual monza ,getting all the lights to work and am unsure as to the location of the back up light switch. I read that it is in the tunnel , but where in the tunnel?? Is it in the rear near the engine, or in the front under the driver? Thanx in advance.

Re: Pulling right and left

I think i found the issue, the nut that holds the pitman arm to the steering linkage was missing the spacer underneath it so it was kinda sloppy and there was no cotter pin ,so it was not pivoting around the bushing. apparently someone had put a new nylon bushing in at some point but assembled it in...

Re: Pulling right and left

Re: Pulling right and left

I have completely redone every wheel station, removed all brake parts, cabinet blasted everything, honed wheel cylinders and adjusted everything and they work great with no dragging.

Re: Pulling right and left

Yes...i noticed the pittman arm bushing is quite worn so i will replace it and as to the side bearing sleeves, i marked them and counted the revolutions to reinstall them...only way to replace the O rings. I have also rebuilt rear axles and am aware of the delicacy of shimming and bearing tolerances...
