I imagine it was too much for them to take on...the seats were miss matched when I got it, I took the covers off then binned them , I intended to fit more modern ones, if you buy it , I have aq nice set of revolution wheels to go with it...£600

its surprisingly good on fuel, around 20mpg yet does 10sec 1/4 miles, but it wont be cheap to buy

I have also sold my beloved Mercedes, but plan to keep the Hornet for now....unless I can persuade a friend to part with his 552 big block Ford powered Rover P4

It sold to a local resto shop , so I know it will get done, I just couldnt cope with it anymore

after a lot of greif, caused by a brand new Chinese carb, fitted by previous owner,( including dumping a load of fuel into the muffler causing a very loud bang) the Gucci now runs good with a rebuilt original carb from Rodley motors....now to spend some lockdown time (and money no doubt) on the bucket

I have been a little distracted lately, by a very rare (around 200 built) 1973 V8 AMC Hornet Sportabout Gucci edition....It needs a little love but its very original, so rather than paint the whole car , I am going to repair the rust and just touch the paint up with a little faux patina
