Nice looking 62 Spyder. The KH wires really set it off.
Enjoy your beautiful car.

Re: ‘63 Spyder Convertible
Beers, Your Spyder is looking great. The quality of your build is excellent. You should be proud of how it turned out. I love the turbo cars, they are a blast and just look like a jewel when you open the bonnet. I look forward to seeing it when the turbo equipment is installed. My Monza has a 64 YR ...

I run 100LL in my turbocharged Monza. I have used this fuel since I rebuilt the car. It runs great and I've never had issues with detonation. I have been lucky my dad has a 500gal bulk tank for the airplane and he doesn't mind if I pull from it when needed.

If your main purpose for joining the forum was to flip your grandfather's car I would suggest a different route. Those on this forum are enthusiastic about our cars and haven't joined solely to get an idea of value. With that said, your grandfather's car looks to be in nice shape and you will find ...

Re: Fully independent suspension update to early models
This topic comes up quite regularly with new EM owners and potential buyers. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SWING ARM SETUP. The BS that Nader was slinging is still hanging over its head. I would get some time behind the wheel of an EM before any judgment. I have never had my 61 bite me. It handles ...

Re: Is this original door cover?
No that isn't the original backing material. The original material was more like tan butcher paper. Also it covered the entire door panel area.

Re: Frustrating Exhaust Leak, Early Turbo
I would check out totalflowusa.com. They should have what you need. They exhaust sealant will work as well but it's a pain if you have to remove the pipes at a later date. Hopefully they will have what you need.

Re: Frustrating Exhaust Leak, Early Turbo
I would try a lap joint clamp. This will give more clamping force due to more surface area. They won't distort the pipes like a standard exhaust clamp.

Your car looks like a great starting point. My first Corvair was a 65 Corsa turbo as well. Loved that car
