Re: Firing older rebuilt turbo engine

You are correct in your thinking. A boost referenced fuel pressure regulator in not needed or recommended. If you had a blow through set up boost referencing would be needed.

Re: New member '69 Corvair

The in tank filter may be clogged at the fuel pick up. It happens when they get old. You can attempt to blow compressed air through the fuel line to unplug it.
If that is the problem it will happen again when more fuel is being demanded but it will help you narrow down the problem.

Re: Von essers wheels

I saw those wheels and they appear to be in very good condition but I really like the look of the 4 spoke wheel. I had a Photoshop done with the 5 spokes and they look good but the 4 spokes just seem right.

61 Super Monza build

In my quest to find the 4 spoke Hollywood Barela wheels my dad had on his 64 Spyder convertible, I joined the HAMB because they are very Corvair friendly. The wheels are going to very difficult to find. I'm on the hunt. I made a build thread there on my car. If anyone is interested it is titled Norm...

Re: Video of Corvair Society of America's 2020 Membership Meeting

Thanks Scott,
CF is a great forum and I enjoy it alot. I enjoy the fact that I can help other owners as well as getting the info that I may need. As a collective there is a wealth of info for owners.

Re: New to Corvairs in OR.

You never know what your going to get with a "fixed up" car. It looks like you have a great starting point.
I'm sure you will find more irregularities as you go.
Really nice looking car.

I see a PO must have installed marker lights. They weren't factory installed until 68 I believe
Your car looks great. The torque thrust wheels are a classic. Makes the car look tough.

Re: Von essers wheels

I emailed HKA wheels and was told that in 39yrs in the wheel business he had never seen a set of 4 spoke barelas and only 2 sets of the 5 spoke. I guess they are very rare. That's cool but I don't think it's going to be easy to find a set.
