Tatton Park Stars and Stripes Show UK
I've seen a few Vairs at this event before. Is anyone planning on attending this weekend? I have a ticket for both days, undecided on which to attend yet but could be swayed by the possibility of meeting up with a fellow UK Corvair owner.

Re: Exhaust in England
That could be a plan, I do have concerns about noise. I do have a small list of things to get. Were you planning on ordering fairly soon? Alternatively we could always do it the other way around, you add to my list! I have managed to remove the old system this evening, it may be original. Broke 2 st...

Exhaust in England
Anyone in the UK had experience of changing an exhaust? Mine is totally disintegrating so I need to fit a new one. Trouble is shipping and taxes are expensive from the US and I was wondering about having a stainless system made. Just interested to know if anyone over here has had experience of havin...

Thanks for your votes
Gladys seems to have won Corvair of the month so thanks very much to everyone who voted for her. Really hoping we'll get some nice weather soon, poor thing has never seen so much snow and cold. Still got a few jobs to do, the most pressing of which is the exhaust which is rapidly falling apart. I'm ...

Re: Cutting Keys
I had some keys cut as I only had one. Of course this isn't that helpful to you as I assume you have no keys at all but if you need a guide on the blank then the chap at Timpsons used one he had for an old Rolls Royce! If you do find someone I may be interested though as my side door lock doesn't wo...

Re: UK agreed value Insurance
TBH I ended up with Adrian Flux as I use them for another car and time was short. I have written back to them to explain and justify the value they've put on the van. I believe I purchased it 'cheap' and that upon inspection it's become obvious that it's probably worth more. Of course it's only wort...

UK agreed value Insurance
Anyone in the UK been able to get a reasonable insurance valuation for their Greenbrier? I usually have an agreed value on my policies but this is first time for a Greenbrier. Adrian Flux disagreed with my valuation and have set it at £8000. I think this is a bit low. Just wondered if anyone had man...

I realised afterwards I posted in February! It would have been battle of the British Greenbriers. Seriously though, lovely looking vehicle there.

Re: Hello from England
Alton Towers is not too far from me actually. Sadly there's not a huge amount of pottery industry left around here. The Wedgwood and Royal Doulton factory is about 3 miles from me, though a lot of their product is made in Asia now. A lot of people here though still have connections with the industry...

Re: ENTER - Corvair of the Month February 2018
I'd like to nominate my 1961 Corvair Greenbrier, my first Corvair which now lives in England. It's had just a handful of owners from new and is believed to be very original. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x71/sprintmwu773v/20171231_130920.jpg~original http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x71/sprin...

Re: Hello from England
I've managed to make contact with another previous owner who had the van from 85-2009. Seems he found it in a barn in North Carolina with 11,000 miles on it. He has lots more interesting stories to tell so I've arranged a phone call later this week to find out more.

Re: Hello from England
Yes Trentham is about 10 mins from me, usually it's on Father's Day. This year the show is 17th June I think.
