Re: Yenko Stinger Question

Yes, if the body is as good as he said it is, I will be installing the 140 that is currently in my Corsa, into the car. Then I will drive it while I redo the corsa & find a replacement 4spd transaxle for her & re-install the original Turbo motor. ( Still hoping it is a Stinger thou, LOL ) Thanks for...

Yenko Stinger Question

I had my 66 corsa 180, sitting out side my place of employment earlier this week, & a Guy stopped in, & asked me if I would be interested in buying another corvair? I said sure, as long as it was a LM, & the price was right. He said that he thinks it is a 68 corvair? And His Father had bought new, A...

Re: First Corvair Hunting

Looks better then mine. The pealing paint isnt a big issue, since the quarters have to be repainted anyways due to the rust in the wheel openings. The fuel tank can be repaired or replaced. Drivers mirror is the same as a chevelle. As for hearing her run, you can unplug the connector from the igniti...

Re: Corvair 1965 Monza?/Corsa? Turbo Convertible

I personally would call it " My Corvair". I use to have a 64 pontiac catalina, that was built to suit me, with the parts of several others cars. when people would point out the fact that this or that didnt, come or belong on my car. I would tell them to keep walking, Its " My Car " & and I am not cl...

Re: Apittslife's '66 Corsa Turbo

Didnt have a bunch of tyme to mess with the corvair this week. But over the course of the week, I did strip the drivers rear quarter panel of the multiple layer's of Primer & Marina Blue Paint, Plus a coat of body filler that went from B-pillar to tail panel. She took a pretty good hit just behind t...

Re: Apittslife's '66 Corsa Turbo

LOL Hello G-D,

The speedometer cable broke at 91,000 so I will say 100,00 ish? pretty good for a vair, & she still runs well. I drove her for the first tyme this week. just once around the building, with just the Parking brake to slow her to a stop.

Re: Corvair Lakewood 61 - NL

When you finish Her, dont be afraid to drive Her. Thats what She was built for! Nothing worse then a Beautiful car sitting in a garage under a cover because the owner is afraid to take Her out & drive Her!

Re: Apittslife's '66 Corsa Turbo

Great news, I took a road trip to Nashville, Tennessee today, & picked up a replacement Back-Glass. Met a really nice guy, by the name of: Otis Stewart, Nic-name "OB". From the Nashville Corvair Club. :tu: He contacted me saying, He had a back-glass that I could have, if I was willing to drive down ...
