Thanks again for the tips everyone. Where could I find one of those Autolite 2 barrels? =)

Re: Carburetor Recommendation for a 4 barrel setup

Hey Guys, Thanks for the tips. My biggest dilema is if the 4 barell is really suited for this setup, or if it is just plain TOO much fuel. The spark plugs I pulled out were pretty darn black. I spoke to a local carb shop here and he said there isn't much else out there 4 barrel wise that is the same...

Carburetor Recommendation for a 4 barrel setup

Hey all, Joe'ds carb was condemned last night by our carb tinkering friends. After multiple float adjustments the carb was still dumping gas on to the butterfly. Without taking it apart (again) our friends think it has a possible internal case problem. So, that being said, we are in the market for a...

Re: Build Log for Joe'd our 1965 Corvair Corsa 140

Well, looks like Joe'd will be sitting a little longer. Carb friends came and looked at him last night. After some tinkering, and adjustments they are saying that his carb is just no good any more (It keeps dumping fuel in no matter how the floats/etc are adjusted). So I will be in the market for an...

Re: Build Log for Joe'd our 1965 Corvair Corsa 140

Well, got the Carb back on him, and he ran enough to get him pulled back into the garage. Not running real good. Idle is high even with the screw backed all the way off. Holley loving friend is supposed to come over and take a look at it. In the mean time I got some carb spray to check for vacuum le...

Re: Phoenix Metro Area Corvair Owners

Joe'd and I may be there if he's up for it running wise, and if we are welcome (not members of the club yet).

Re: Need some body work/order of getting things done advice.

Hey Guys, Thanks so much for the advice! Things have been crazy at home with some pretty major family problems, so I'm just getting to all those 3 month old posts now, lol. I will take everyone's advice with the windshield. As was already stated, keeping this car on the road as much as possible is o...

Re: Phoenix Metro Area Corvair Owners

Joe'd and I are back from the dead! Hoping to "re-get" him road worthy...again :banghead: so that we can start rolling his rusty, crusty self to some of these meets. I assume things will start getting geared up as the weather changes? ::-):

Re: 4 Barrel setup stumbles in 3rd and 4th.

Hey Tom, We do still have this setup. Just got the carb reworked after it sprang a major leak from the accelerator pump. Haven't got it back on yet (hope to this evening), but really hoping it will make an over all improvment (the guy that fixed it also did some tinkering with the carb, and replaced...

Re: Build Log for Joe'd our 1965 Corvair Corsa 140

Hey All, Joe'd is coming back from the grave (again). Had a crazy past couple of months with some major family issues, but with things starting to finally calm down, and cooler weather kind of around the corner (for AZ), my eyes and attention are turning back to are little 3 shades of red pride and ...

Looks like I'm not going to be able to attend. Have had some pretty major personal issues come up that are going to prevent.

Have fun without me =)

Woo Hoo on the V8! I'll shoot you a PM here soon and let you know. I know my wife has some family coming in on that friday, so that COULD interfere if I need to get them from the airport.

Re: Phoenix Metro Area Corvair Owners

Dave,

Haven't been there yet, but it's just up the street from my house. I usually don't get near home until after 6, so it would likely be pushing 7 by the time I got there. Think anyone would still be there?

Thanks

Wish me and Joe'd could go. I already have plans for tonight, and I don't think Joe'd is ready to roll that far yet.
