thanks for the information, i am replacing with cork gaskets and will do as you suggest, use the sealer you suggested on the valve cover and use the sealer on both sides of the gasket for the oil pan, and i won't put any oil in the motor for a couple of days, i also read where they said to wait one ...

i rebuilt my motor and now i am getting some oil leaks from the valve covers and the oil pan, i am going to take the valve covers and oil pan off and replace the gaskets, my question is , is there a special way to make sure these don't leak? do i need to use like permayex two on the gaskets, i am a ...

thanks for the information, i will go ahead and use a cork gasket like you said and i will double check the torque for the bolts, the torqus is suppose to be 50 inch llbs

i rebuilt my motor and replaced all the gaskets, i used the silicone gaskets on the valve covers, i straightened the valve covers especially at the bolt holes but i am having a problem with a oil leak on the drivers side valve cover, does anyone know how i can stop this leak, i checked the cover bol...

i am having a hard time getting lubircant into the gear box where the plug is in lower front of the gear box, i wonder can the adjusting screw in the top of the gear box be taken out and fill the box thru the hole where the adjuster screw was
