Re: Ride Height
Nobody seemed to mention that if it has HD springs, they will lower it too. I am with everyone else here. Looks great at that height. Fix the mufflers. BTW.... clarks sells 2 different sets of 140 mufflers. Coming From someone Who gave away the cheaper set, the more expensive set with the prebent co...

Re: 65 quick steering adapters
What part are you trying to find? Quick steering arms or replacements for damaged arms on a car that has factory quick steering? Clark’s has quick steering arms on page 155 of their catalog. These arms are as described in the catalog and are made to be used with a standard non quick steering box.Th...

Re: Best Upgrades
If the carb is from a Corvette it is WAY to big for that engine. It is in the 550 to 650 range. Max for that engine should be around 390. If you are where it gets cold, go back to stock carbs with chokes working. You will be much happier.

Re: Fast idle Corsa 140
Sorry, sent too soon. The repro linkage connecting the throttle plate to the accelerator pump was just too short. I tried bending it slightly and really screwed it up. I took an original one from an extra carb I had and used that. It cured the problem and allowed me to adjust the idle speed with the...

Re: Fast idle Corsa 140
I had a similar problem on my 140. I discovered that one. Carb would not close the throttle. The idle screw was not contacting the place where the tip adjusts it when it was all the way out. It turned out that the repro linkage part that connects the throttle to Sent from my iPhone using Corvair For...

Find a set off a pick-up or van and use wire spokes.

Re: Carpet Install
Trying to accurately gauge where to cut is almost impossible with the pedal in place. It is an expensive cut to make in the wrong place

Fling River steering box
Anyone here have any experience with Flaming River steering boxes on a Vair? (66 Corsa) I have my second one (first replaced) from Clarks, and there in no way to get it down below 3+inches of play. Clarks has been a champion at trying to resolve this, but they have no more. What would be considered ...
