You probably had the same problem I did earlier today. I couldn't reach their site for awhile. It looked like a DNS server issue. Ok now though.

Re: "Unsafe To Carry"
I had the same problem, but the Uhaul guy noted that some Corvairs in some years were ok in their system. So, if you call yours a 1961-63 Corvair 900, they'll ok it. Also, they permit '61-64 Corvair pickups.

I shipped a 65 Triumph Spitfire to Georgia using Montway & was very satisfied, they picked the car up when they said & it was delivered when they said.

Re: Rescuing a wagon in Nevada
It was back and forth between the tow and crane guys, but the tow guys finally took the challenge. It's out! Now to figure out how to get it home. Anyone heading east with room for one more? Any shipper recommendations? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171102/1a7862453640db7c77d8f499208309a3.jpg

Re: Rescuing a wagon in Nevada
I like the Squareback, but prefer the more unique styling of the Corvair. I used to be a VW mechanic, so a lot of VWs in my past.

Re: Rescuing a wagon in Nevada
I always thought it ironic that the Squareback succeeded right after the Corvair wagon failed, with essentially the same design.

Re: Rescuing a wagon in Nevada
When pulling from the front or rear with straps and winches and such it is best to hook onto the suspension crossmember in the front and the lower rear suspension arms in the rear, There are subframe slots for T hooks that tow guys use as well and they can also be used but may (particularly if ther...

Rescuing a wagon in Nevada
At some point in the distant past someone dragged this 62 Monza wagon 50' up a 45 degree dirt/gravel/pine needles slope to a flat spot, and now I like to rescue it without damage. It looks like a cable was attached to the rear motor mount last time, and somehow pulled up the hill. Is that the safest...

Re: New member from SE PA
Thanks. Wrt my car, I'd say it's somewhere between a 3 and a 4 - won't be sure exactly til I get into it deeper. It's a 110 with a 4sp. I haven't tried to figure out yet if they are the originals, but it was a 110 4sp at birth. It needs a new top, has some paint chips, a dented bumper, some misalign...

Thanks for the info on the Corvair Ranch. I'm down near Kennett Square. It'll be awhile before I'm ready for the blue route. I gotta get to know this car better before I take it for more than a ride around the block.

Just bought a 64 Monza convertible. Glad to have a Corvair in the garage again. I had a 66 Corsa convertible for about 15 yrs until my wife convinced me that I had to quit shipping it each time we moved if I wasn't going to have time to work on it. Now I have the time, so now I have a Corvair.
