Be sure to get a factory assembly manual. It will be your best friend during your build.

Be sure to keep each cap with their associated rod. I usually put the nuts on partially to keep the "set" together

Re: Dropped valve?
Quick trick...get a low compression reading. Squirt about a tablespoon of engine ppl in the plug hole and do another reading. If the compression goes up. It is a ring problem. If it stays low. It I a valve issue. I worked at a vair shop with about 20 unknown used engines. That test gave correct diag...

Install another plastic washer to space the switch down. I went through 3 switches before I discovered this.

Re: OPGI Catalog Delayed
We are programing the crossover parts right now. The parts that we already carry from other car lines. This will take a while as there are over 1500 of them. After that, we will start programing the corvair specific parts. There are over 8000 parts to program so it will take a while. But.... We are ...

Re: Bicycle rack for rear doors of a van
Thanks. I have been designing a receiver hitch in my head just for this. However, my welder is a 50amp and I only have 40amp service in my garage. I have to find someone with a welder to do the job. I guess I will get a rack for my girl's sable and wait till after Christmas to build a hitch for a go...

Bicycle rack for rear doors of a van
I just heard that my girlfriend is getting a bike for Christmas from her kids. I have a 64 greenbrier, she has a mercury sable wagon. Does anyone have experience with a bike rack that straps to the back doors of a van? I know, it will make getting into the back a pain. A roof rack would be best but ...
