what am I doing wrong
I just got this car and the trunk won't open. I put the key in and turn it clockwise. The lid pops up then the safety hook catches and thats where it stops. I got a flashlight and a 5/16 dowel rod. I seen the hook from the driver side looking with the flashlight under the front gap, about 1 1/4 high...

I am the proud owner of a 1963 Monza 900 survivor. A little history on the car. My uncle bought it from the original owner in the 1980's with 48,000 miles. He put about 9,000 miles on it in 15 years as a casual sunny day driver. He died in 1998 and my dad ended up with the car. My dad never drove it...
