Exhaust Duct Dampers
I have a couple of questions regarding the exhaust duct dampers on my 66 Monza. As the engine is warming up the left damper opens fairly quickly whereas the right damper takes considerably longer to open, usually not until I have driven for a while. Is this normal or should both dampers open at roug...

Sorry Kevin I did not answer your question; the drop was about 1-5/16 inches with the new spring.

Thanks for the response Kevin. Could it be that the new spring is too stiff? I put the old spring back in and was able to adjust the float to the proper drop. I actually had to reduce the drop - probably bcause the spring had weakened over the years. The spring was installed the same as it is on the...
