Re: Different piston sizes?

So I have found something (else) odd between my two engines as I prepare for reassembly: they have two different sizes of piston. The rods too are identical. The pistons, however, are very different. Same diameter, but the pistons out of the manual block are at least 1/4" longer than those out...

Re: Extreme high idle

disconnect the linkage from the carbs so your sure thats not part of the problem.

look for a vacuum leak - that would cause a high idle.

what carbs did you use for the conversion? all primary carbs? that could be part of the high idle problem.

Re: cylinder prep: ball hone vs flapper wheel

Re: Can you ID these sheet metal pieces?

Re: Can you ID these sheet metal pieces?

the 1 part is a engine cover........the rest of them dont look like any stock vair engine stuff. some kind of look like they are vair parts - but modified - hard to say by the pics.

maybe they are body sheet metal for early or fc? i dont do early stuff so i dont know.

Re: Wideband O2 Sensor Kit recommendation

the fast dual o2 is a good unit.

if you want something smaller - with a standard 52mm gauge.......the innovate dlg-1 is real nice.
