Don't know what your timeframe is but you might take a look at Ted Brown's EFI systems: https://corvair-efi.com/brown-efi/turbo-150-180-hp/.
He may have a solution which works for you in the fall...

Re: Backup switch
when I was rebuilding my Corsa I discovered that my '66 4-speed had a '65 backup switch installed. It didn't work. I got the correct switch from Clarks C5365 and the correct harness from the Corvair Ranch. Use a heat gun to soften up the harness before plugging it onto the switch. It's very hard rub...

Re: Corsa Turbo
Well, here's my 2 cents... First, I think this corvair engine was originally built as a dual carb model (maybe from a Monza) and converted to a turbo by replacing the heads with turbo heads. No turbo engine was ever built which had air conditioning. Also, the vacuum canister on the distributor shoul...

The uni-syn can also tell you if you have a linkage problem that is not allowing the secondary butterfly to close completely.

Re: 1964 turbo change carburetor
Here is the coil pack I have installed on my '66 Turbo: coilpack.jpg It is attached to an EDIS-6 controller out of a 1970 Mustang. The EDIS module is controlled by a MegaJolt/E MK2 ignition controller from AutoSportLabs. The MK2 is a mapped ignition controller which allows downloaded maps to control...

Why aren't PM's being delivered ?
I recently sent 3 PM's, two on the 16th and 1 on the 19th of this month. All 3 are still sitting in my outbox. Why haven't they been delivered yet ?

Re: Tachometer just twerking
I may have the tach from my '65 Corsa sitting in my parts box. I believe it worked when I took it out - I can't say if it still does. You can have it for free, just pay the shipping. I'll just need to find it

Re: Torque setting for UJ
As you have found, there is no torque spec for u-joints in any shop manual, except for the 1966 supplement - which doesn't do you any good since the '66 bolts are a different size from the '63. However, Brad Bodie posted a response to a similar question a while back. You can view that from here: htt...
