Traveling back home Saturday afternoon and saw a great looking blue LM coupe. At a quick glance looked like a Monza, maybe 65-66.
It was on I-40 East bound between Asheville and Black Mountain where I live.
Was that you?
Thanks
Mike

Not sure where trim tag is but if you can use the vin it is 105376L103553 All you wanted to know about trim tags is in this thread. It is a small rectangular tag in the engine compartment with all the options the car had when built. http://www.corvairforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4321 It will rea...

Re: Body Tag info Questions...
The convertible is captured in the R-2. The 2 should mean black convertible top. The R is the red body color.
If for example it was a single color coupe then it would be R-R = Regal red
Thanks,
Mike

LM Monza Dash-Center Pod Options
Well my searching hasn't gotten me much of an answer so to help out a Corvair newbie I wanted to know the following about the LM Monza Dash. What did the center pod get used for? Was it a clock? Was it a tach? Was it both? Was that optional? Can the either be added after the fact? Is the wiring ther...

Re: VIN Question
Submit it on your paperwork as it is supposed to be for the VIN features/options and let the reading/interpretation chips fall where they may.
If you get it wrong on the title it's tough to get it corrected through DMV. Ask me how I know....

Re: My Field Find 65 Corsa Heads-after at least 27 Years
The camshaft you refer to can be 1 of 2 GM cams. The first is the 891 cam which was used on all early 65 140's and later just 4 speed 140s and all 110 engines. The second is the 889 cam used on all 95 horse engines and the later 65 and up 140 Powerglide engines. If you are this far in and they are ...
