Thanks for the advice, I totally agree with you. And yes, you can always send in suggestions, I just might not have enough money in the bank account to do it right away. Corvair Hunt Youtube Channel Launch.....Subscribers needed!

I have created a Youtube channel for DIY Corvair repairs. I have seen many technical videos done mostly on engines, but not on some of the easier items. I want to produce videos for those that are new to Corvairs or to those who are limited in what repairs they can do on their own. I have many proje...

I also have EM 900 that I can see about getting the pattern for the front seats.

Re: Seat upholstery pattern

My car didn't have a headliner when I purchased it. I was able to get my hands on one for free that is rough so it's not usable, but I will be pulling it apart and creating a pattern to make my own. It honestly doesn't look that difficult and I would consider my sewing skills to be high beginner/low...

I tamed mine. '65 carbs should have model numbers 3902S or 4020S.

EM Door and Window trim

I have read the manual on how to remove the trim pieces pictured below, but I am still having difficulty doing so. I thought I would ask for advice before I just muscle it and probably break stuff. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170411/38196069d9a3914d8ffe804ad944ca71.jpg https://uploads.tapatal...

Re: what am I doing wrong

Once the hood caught the first time did you slightly push back down on the trunk and turn the key to unlock again?

Re: Please Help! 63 Turbo just won't run!

How good are your spark plugs. I know my turbo engine runs rich so they get dirty real quick. You also might have a hard time starting your engine due to flooding. Before I fixed my yh carburetor I would have to wait and hour or two before I could get it to run again after I shut it down on my first...

Electric choke installation.

I drove my '63 Monza Spyder for a month before I realized that there was an electric choke installed but not wired on the Carter YH carburetor. I finally got around to wiring it today. It worked as advertised with one issue. I wired it to the ignition wire in the engine bay. When I put the multimete...

Re: Carter YH carburetor

Chances are it is lost. You should get a pen light and look and if you see nothing but a hole down there, then you need to replace it. The following will help you determine if you need the needle or ball. Look on your carb throat for these casting numbers. 0-1392 = 1962 150 - Has check needle 0-1507...

Re: Carter YH carburetor

Further examination of the carb brought up another question. Upon inspection of where the gas is coming from, I saw this possible check ball. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170212/af50e405775feff86b3c7b52c60353b8.jpg Is this a check ball and should it be stuck? Carter YH carburetor

my yh carburetor leaks a ton of fuel from the choke valve after engine shutdown or even when cranked if the engine doesn't start right up. The return line is unclogged and I put a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel line and set it at 2.5 psi.    Today, I disassembled the carb to find that everythin...

Re: Draining Transaxle on a '64 Spyder Question

I read through the '64 manual and the servicing is the same as '61-'63. I recently changed out the shift shaft seal and drained the system at the differential. The drain plug #37 in the pic below is towards the front of the car on the differential. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170204/3ff6cf008...
