1965 Heater Blower Repair and Installation!"Mystrery Box"
FYI Re : 1965 Corvair Heater Blowers: The Fresh Air Intake Bracket is NOT SYMMETRICAL! There is a "Mystery Box" on the top of 1965 [ONLY] Corvair Heater Blowers that protrudes into the space below the rear window vents that you may have wondered what it is? It was intended to be a "Fresh Air Intake ...

Re: New CORSA Membership Roster Available & A Roster Rescue Story
Here is the (new) way to find the link to "Member Roster Lookup" that was not labeled correctly, and REQUIRED MEMBER LOGIN, but even after logging in, it's hard to realize that "CORSA people" means "CORSA MEMBERS," so-o-o-o ... CORSA (Alan Lacki) has changed the page for the better way to find the ...

Re: 1968 / 1969 Powerglide ID VIN
Yes, the VIN was put on most major components to aid law enforcement and to show manufacturers whether a defective part was originally on THAT car?

1968 / 1969 Powerglide ID VIN
1968 / 1969 Powerglide ID is the vehicle's VIN and is stamped on the case "lip" on the driver side just below the linkage rod.
It is between the 2 pan bolts, and is readable only from above.

1965 Corvair IgnitionSwitchWiring
Just pix for now since the diagram in the manual is too "tight" to really see what wire goes where of the back of the switch. Please confirm these for accuracy and let me (and others) know in "Comments" if there is any error or omission? I hope these help someone? Also, the manual does not say which ...

Re: Body and Engine harness question
I mapped out the pin connections in the 1965 Main Body Wiring Harness (also posted elsewhere as "MainBodyWiringHarness") Probably similar to other late model years, with exceptions for additional features in later years, such as "Park Brake Warning" light" etc. 1965 Corvair Main Body Electrical ...

1965 Corvair MainBodyWiringHarness Diagram
I mapped out the pin connections in the 1965 Main Body Wiring Harness Probably similar to other late model years, with exceptions for additional features in later years, such as "Park Brake Warning" light" etc. Personally, I number them 11-16 on the left and 21-26 on the right (not shown) for less ...

Late Model ('65) Center Console for Manual Shift 4-Speed
This is my Center Console for Manual Shift 4-Speed in a Late Model ('65) Center consoles for PGs are simpler since the shifter is not a major problem On a PG, "just" intercept (through the floor) or re-route the cable through access at the front)? Anyway, the manual shift lever creates a problem ...

Custom Sun Visors
Rather than refurbish my worn out visors, I made a new set from oak wood to see if this was even a viable idea? The originals (in the first pic) are Masonite with a steel rib, which I replaced and shaped them to fit the curvature of the windshield frame. I had to cut the spot welded pins off of the ...

Fun with Custom Spoilers
I had a "left over" spoiler from a '96 Ford Probe and since its shape conformed to the curve of the '65 rear window, I decided to see how it would look. Here's my "proof of concept" design exercise:" Some thought the spoiler should go on the front so I had some fun with that too (see pix at end ...

Re: Steering issue
Yes, I knew that but I just didn't notice until now :<~{
Was I notified of my error? I'd have fixed it then if I had realized it.
If I was, maybe I missed it, but if not well, I fixed it when I looked for it a year later.
Apologies to anyone who wanted to see it!

Re: LM Heating system hoses and hangers
I bought these 4" hangers from Home Depot for about $1.50 each. Here's where I chose to hang the ducts away from axle and starter, after I found existing holes as shown in these pix ... Re: Replacing heating ducts on a '65?
I'm replacing the 4" heater duct hoses on my '65 Monza convert, and need to "hang" them away from the axles, starter, etc. I'll wrap the driver side to insulate it from the starter, but where do the hangers attach to the body. I don't see any holes where they would have been in its former life? Also ...
