Re: The LA 65 Corsa Build

Thanks Rindress! I'm due for another update here shortly. Hopefully my second set of 140 heads will meet the machinist's approval! Good luck on your build, and definitely start that thread. It has already brought me some great connections, parts, and advice. Sent from my iPad using Corvair Forum mob...

Re: The LA 65 Corsa Build

Engine tear down photos - will be splitting the case. So much silly-cone found seeping into the cavity from top and bottom. It's everywhere! I've found so far: Mismatched and dimpled pistons, mismatched in age and type - pushrods, rockers, and lifters (LHS vs. RHS of engine) Cylinders, crank, rods, ...

Got a really nice looking clean and matching '66 head from a club member - will be bringing everything down to the machine shop as soon as I get a free day! IM...

Re: Hello! Bought a 1965 Corsa 140 vert

Thanks for the welcome notes guys! 66vairguy: I'm located in Northeast LA - near Glendale. I've considered joining the other 2 local clubs as well in the future, but for now with a 3 month old, I've barely got time to slip away once a month to the Corsa West meetings! I'll also do another post updat...
