Skirts on a 4 door fit on a coupe?

Title pretty much says it all I guess. Found a set on the bay for cheap but I have no idea if they would fit or not. I thought I would ask some people who are smarter than me.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/172118872573?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT" onclick="w...

Re: A guide to body tag decoding resources on the web

Yep and I need to double check under the vehicle for the real one. It's on a cross member correct. The good news is that is was registered today without any issues as a 62. I am going to start calling it my 62,63,64,65 Corvair!

Re: New to Corvairs and excited

Yeah, was planning on it as it has a few leaks anyways. I'll be repairing/replacing anything that is necessary as well as getting a full tune up. The motor looks a little frankensteined but as long as it runs well and is reliable, I'm cool with it.

Re: New to Corvairs and excited

So it's a 1962-64 Corvair! I am not looking for a restoration project so none of this really bothers me all that much. It will however help me in purchasing parts. The AC unit looks complete on the inside which is a bonus. It needs a transmission. I shouldn't have any issues replacing the current 4 ...

Re: New to Corvairs and excited

Man this forum is a good one. Here we go: I have had many cars in my 40 years on the planet from a 72 Dodge pickup to a 50 Cranbrook and a lot of stuff in between. On a scale of 1-10 my mechanical abilities are at about a 3 on a good day. Most of the vehicles that I have owned have been completely d...

Re: New to Corvairs and excited

The current tranny is a 4 speed and other than not engaging at all, when it did it had a terrible whine, like a bearing failure. I think it has seen better days and I think it's time for a change. The car was listed on CL for about 10 days before I picked it up. It's my first corvair but not my firs...

Re: New to Corvairs and excited

You are not the 1st, 2nd or 3rd person to tell me that. I will tread lightly and use this spot just for parts. There is enough information online that I can probably get by on my own.

New to Corvairs and excited

Hello all! I recently picked up a 1962 Monza 900 here in Southern California and am excited about the possibilities of making it a driver. Needs a little here and there, mainly a new transmission, but overall, I am good to go! I will be heading over to get it registered and then to make my first, of...

Re: A guide to body tag decoding resources on the web

Is it possible to have my title state that my car is a 1962 but the body tag starts with 63?

This is amazing information btw, thanks from a 2 week Corvair Monza 900 owner!
