Cross-Country Transport

I'm looking to ship an operable but not long-distance-drivable Greenbrier from midstate Wisconsin to the California Bay Area. I'm not looking for anything nice or with any special services; I just want it to be as cheap as possible. Can any of you recommend a cheap vehicle shipping company? Or if th...

FC Brake Lines

I'm replacing one of the brake lines in my '63 Greenbrier, and I'm a little perplexed by Clarks' online catalog. Page 149A lists parts C12003/C12004 as the complete set of FC brake lines (though only one is available), but I'm trying to avoid buying an entire set. The line I need goes from the maste...

A Fresh Start

Hey folks, I'm very new to working on Corvairs, so you'll have to pardon my seemingly simple questions. :P I recently bought a 1963 Greenbrier from a guy who really didn't know much about the condition most of it was in, and as far as I can tell it's been sitting with zero maintenance for well over ...

Re: Woah, Greenbrier

Well, it turns out the car is in better shape than I thought it was (at least engine-wise). I drove it on the freeway from Milwaukee to Oshkosh yesterday and it was really sound. Driving 65+ was no problem and I didn't experience any mechanical problems at all. I haven't done the hard-harder brake l...

Re: Woah, Greenbrier

I didn't specify this when I posted: I'm from California but I go to school in Appleton, WI. I'm going to be going home for the summer (without the car :\) and storing the van at my friend's house in Oshkosh, WI. So my general location is somewhere between Appleton and Oshkosh depending on where we'...

G'morning

Heya! An introduction thread is hardly any different than what I just posted in the "New to Corvairs?" forum, but I might as well.... I'm Travis T., a college student in Appleton, WI, and a first-time Corvair owner with a hankering to get my beast of a van roadworthy! http://i62.photobucke...

Woah, Greenbrier

Hey there folks, I've been intrigued by Corvairs since I stumbled upon one a couple years ago, and when I saw this 1963 Greenbrier for $850 only a couple hours away from me I couldn't pass it up. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h114/B0BTheFrog/Greenbrier/LateSummer197.jpg So, being the proud owner...
