Re: Buying a Corvair as a first car?
$15K will buy you a VERY nice Corvair but I do have a suggestion before you buy any Corvair and especially before you spend that kind of money - have someone who is very familiar with Corvairs go with you to check the car out before you make any offers.

Re: Buying a Corvair as a first car?
I had an old car when I was a teenage (MGB) but fortunately I also had a reliable newer car as well. The reason I say "fortunately" is because there were times had I only had the older car I would have been stuck at home (or wherever the car had decided it didn't want to go any more). I le...

Re: Whats a good price these days and other stuff too...
I have never bought off Clark's for sale list and as you say, most ads are old. As far as "will I get my money back?" That is a tough question to answer - maybe you will, maybe you won't. I have owned probably over 500 cars in my life (yes I am a car - aholic) and sometimes I get my money ...

Re: Random Guy Poll
I was at a show with one of mine once and a guy came up and started talking to me about my Corvair. The guy said "yea my uncle used to have one but it was a V8" When I asked him if his uncle had done a conversion, he said "no, it was all factory - sat right back there where your engin...

Re: LM vs. EM Debate.
I have owned 23 Corvairs in the past 20+ years - 20 Earlies and 3 Lates. I think that pretty much tells you my preference

Re: What is the age range of Corvair Fans? (POLL)
I had to vote today, otherwise I would have to click on a different age range and that is psychologically tough LOL. (Turning 56 next week so today I could click the 46-55 range )

New to forum but not to Corvairs
Well sort of new. I registered a long time ago but lost my login name, etc. so having to rejoin (I never posted over about 3 or 4 times before so I guess that still makes me a newbie LOL) I currently own a 65 Monza coupe, AACA Senior Car and have owned a total of 23 Corvairs over the past 22 years. ...
