Re: Brit 65 owner in San Jose
Hi Mark, We are working on doing more Corvair get together a in the Bay Area. We did one a few weeks ago on Treasure Island. Had seven Corvairs show up. We are working on one for March, but the Spring Fling is at the end of April in Roseville. This year it is going to be a four club participation. C...

Re: Project 1964 Convertible
You may not need Springs in the back. The weight is in the back of the car and they naturally sit low. A lot of people cut the front Springs or put sand bags in the trunk to level out the car. Clarks sells all of the wiring and it is top notch. I just re-wired my entire car and it's worth the invest...

Re: Can't find the answer to this....reverse lights
Do the lights go on when you either back up, brake or turn signal? If no, the PO probably disconnected the reverse switch and swapped out the inner lenses. Both can be replaced. The switch is about $80 and the lenses can be found cheap.

Re: 61 Lakewood windshield
I wouldn't recommending modding any 50+y/o auto glass unless you're a professional. I once assisted in a failed attempt to mod glass in a chop top, post chop. A complete nightmare and cost a small fortune and a few bad cuts to get it to "mostly" fit. You might find a junker with glass in t...

Re: Hello from Saskatchewan, Canada
Welcome! I'm new here too, just recently getting a 64 convertible Monza. I've wanted a Vair since I was 16, but had to wait till 36 to find the right one. :) Love the rims and the car color. Good luck on your project! Post pics with progress.

Just bought my first Corvair today
Hi All, My name is Josh and I am a garage gearhead. I have had many classics (and some junkers). Today, I scored a 64 Convertible for an unreal price. Anyway, not only is this my first Corvair, it is my first air cooled ride. I am looking forward to cruising in iton sunny days and wrenching on it on...
