Re: Corsa running on Off Road Diesel !

Thank you Brad, as usual you are rock steady in your references. I am going to speak to my mechanic, as I spoke with his boss, the owner of Clover Hill Auto on Sat. I am inclined to add octane booster and run it out. A good friend says he can't figure out that formula shown above, albeit it has to ...

Corsa running on Off Road Diesel !

My '65 Corsa Conv is running on Diesel. Friday I pulled up to the front pump at the Ethanol free gas station, and the gas snout was sticking in a piece of plastic pipe stick’n out. I put it in and started it and thought that it didn’t seem right in that pipe. There are no traditional pumps here ...

Thank you Brad ! I'll follow thru at sunrise. 82 deg here in Va right now at 10 PM. Would have been a great ride lowering the top.

I'm getting HTTP error when trying to upload.

Re: Today I drove my Corvair to...

My son-in-law and I checked the battery voltage and it was a little low at 12.2 V. If it can turn the starter over at a reasonable speed there is enough voltage to start it. What's the easiest way to check for spark ? I remember my Dad pulling a spark plug I think and letting it arc while cranking ...

Re: Today I drove my Corvair to...

Give me credit for trying to drive my Corvair Corsa 140 yesterday, but I didn't get 4 car lengths, and that was only because I coasted down my steep driveway and popped the clutch, to no avail.

I always have it aimed downwards on top my driveway. I hit the gas twice which seems to set the carbs. It ...

Re: Turn Signal that is floppy !

I wanted to add that the Stalk will not turn either CW or CCW, so that part is not loose.

Turn Signal that is floppy !

:helpsos:

I started out in Oct 2015 with my stalk and signals working normally when I bought my '65 Corsa Conv. Then after about a month the right turn signal would not light up the right indicator on the dash. Then after another month the stalk was getting loose like a bad shifter, actually like ...

Re: Today I drove my Corvair to...

I'm getting ready to drive....to......well I'll just say "I'm Driving".

Got the top down in my '65 Corsa 140 Conv. Checked the engine oil and trans axle?, all full. I reset the trip odo as I''m going to check my "oil MPQ (miles per quart). I wish the "real gas" station was open on Sun as I have 3 ...

Re: Insurance

I'm paying $180 per year for Haggarity full coverage on my '65 Corsa Conv 140. This covers it for $10K and includes Road Side Assistance and 150mi towing. That's about $15 mo. I'm 61 and have no tickets since 1976. I've used the RSA twice since Oct '15 and it was excellent.

I have 3 cars and 4 ...
