Re: My 1960 500

It went great, an endless stream of fun and exciting memories. We had a convoy of 5 old Triumphs and lost one of them (not pictured) at 4500ft up in the Swiss Alps. We had fixed the cooling system 3 times and thought we had it licked but it started overheating during the climb. With no place to pul...

Re: My 1960 500

I was just in Rowlands Castle and Portsmouth this summer. Nice area, far enough away from London. I picked up this old Triumph and then drove it all over the UK and through 10 countries on the continent. Congratulations on a great Corvair and a lovely family. toledo.jpg Wow thats a brave trip in a ...

Great looking Silver Hawk in the best colour combo! The 53 Starliner is probably one of the nicest looking coupes ever made? Yes the GT is a very grown ups car, but I love it:tongue:

Dam it! I was hoping for another member:P

Yes the GT is nice! Arrived from NY of all places (rust gamble) but at least this was undercoated when new and not after a lot of dodgy rust bodging!

Where about in the UK are you?

I did a clock for a friends 59 Caddy, but I recon it's probably same mechanism in most GM products :shhh: I wrote a little about the service here: https://mitka.co.uk/2018/08/10/service- ... ker-clock/

I understand! At least you got a lot of welding practice for your new floors in the new car

How about turning it into a Rally/Race themed car? Roll bar to stiffen the thing up... Easy for me to say who's not got it in the driveway :shhh:
