Re: Chinese Wabasto Heater FOUND!

I have seen these cabin heaters for trucks and marine use on Amazon. They were diesel fueled but a gas version is probably available. I for one do not like the LM heaters. Stinks [emoji12]! Since I live in a warm climate I took the electric approach. Bought a 12v DC-Thermal heater that is 10k BTU 6...

Re: Chinese Wabasto Heater FOUND!

Yeah I would hope the 5kw is heat output. if it was 5kw working current I would just go with a full electric heater.

So... a bunch of people i know kept talking about this WISH app for the phone, so me being curious, I logged in and almost immediately found this: https://www.wish.com/c/59fc465da0386f706cc9df7e This may be a very economical heat solution for most corvairs, vans, and fc. Re: Camshaft options

Dude, you will be awfully disappointed when you find out you cant run down those piss pot punks grandmothers in their 89 corolla. Much less their 240xs turbo four banger ricers. You better stay on the porch. There's some truth to what you say. The only way your going to outrun some of today's moder...

Re: CORVAIR UNDERGROUND IS FOLDING ITS TENT!

I tried emailing him a while back and got no response. I ordered some things from him and would have ordered more had he gotten back to me but if he was ill that would explain his absence. When I did speak to him in the past he seemed like a really nice guy. I wish him the best. Sent from my LG-H931...

Re: Driving during the winter

I would be much more worried about the pre brine, post salt, double team that the government does to the roads at any indication of even the slightest chance of percipatation than the snow itself. My car is a driver through and through and it won't get put on the roads while that shit is on them. Se...

Re: Saved my son’s first car

Where is this so called graveyard? Very cool. I was never a huge fan of the LM but the more and more I see them and work on them I kind of want one.

Re: Drivers side window pulled out of pocket

Windsheild glue will work. So will gorilla glue if you're not concerned with cosmetics. My driver's side is gorilla glued and has been for quite some time. The metal is completely rotten but the glue has held wonderfully.

Re: Back to the gas heater...

Alternator issues are solved, moving on... I cant seem to get it to fire, Ive got voltage at the fuse panel, but inadequate volatage at the harness plug at the top of the heater case. I also am getting NO voltage to the solenoid. Ive tried a few relays, nothing changes. Where/how am I losing voltag...

Yes. Its written terribly. The first pic is of a 61. I suppose they could have put a 61 nose on it but that defeats the purpose of owning a 60.

Yeah. Every time I see that I think to myself, someone somewhere is professionally trolling the Corvair community.

Re: Random thought about installing an ECM in a Corvair

1966 Corsa 140HP / 180HP engines Does anyone have any exsperiance with trying to put Fuel injection & Disrtibutorless or electronic Ignition System from a V-6 GM product? Just a Thought that rattled around in my head before I dropped off to sleep. I was wondering if the fuel mapping might be close ...
