You also mentioned the valvetrain is basically "loose" which would effect compression. And with no oil pressure, your lifters will not pump up anyway. Making the reading even more questionable. When the lights don't work at all, it's often the dimmer switch as the others have mentioned. And of course the main switch can be the culprit too, but the floor-mounted switch can take a real beating. I thought I'd re-mention too, the in-trunk connector. I think someone else touched on it already ...
