Re: Starting a engine that has sat for a long time
Well it's been awhile since I posted and have a few updates. So I have overhauled the carbs, distributor and cleaned all the debri top and bottom around the jugs. Glad I removed the bottom shrouds they were caked full of dirt and mice nests. The thermostats look OK but have yet to reinstall them to ...

63 monza tag decoding
Just wondering if someone can answer a couple questions on my body tag. The tag reads 07D, Style: 63-0927, Body: WR 97275, Trim: 712, Paint: 947-7. My questions are on the trim and paint numbers. My question is what is a good process to see if the engine is salvageable. It has oil on the dipstick and actually looks p...

Hello all looking for a little advice on starting this repair project. I have searched the forums for information and got some good tips. But I have a few questions that needed clearing up. Corvair newby
Hi all. Just bought my wife a 65 Corvair Monza convertible for her 50th birthday. I know next to nothing about these cars but looking forward to learning all I can! The car I picked up has what I am reading on these sites is pretty normal rust for a convertible. The front floors are shot as well as ...
