Datsun, or do you say Nissan, 280ZX 15x6 wheels. I've had them on the car since 2008'ish!

Welcome. The car looks fantastic. I’m in your camp, modify the car how you want and enjoy it.
Where in the Chicago burbs are you? I’m near I355 and I55.

I have a pair of Summit Turbo mufflers on mine, it is a little loud but I like it. I have about $60.00 into it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8J8xqGPWpU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdNDyx707R0" onclick="window.open(this.href);re...

Re: clarks 4 x 1
The decision for which filter to plumb the PCV to was based upon the length of hose I had. You bring up an interesting point about splitting it off into both banks, may just have to try that. I used to have it vented to the atmosphere but I did get a strong odor in the car. I decided to plumb it int...

Re: clarks 4 x 1
I bought my K&N filters from a local Motorcycle shop. I think they were less than $45 for all four. My thought is any individual air filter setup will be an improvement over stock. You could also try the modification to raise the factory air cleaner as seen here: http://autoxer.skiblack.com/nall...

Re: The infamous EDIS conversion
I purchased the Megajolt for $160 from Autosportlabs.com and the full EDIS kit off ebay for $50. Factor in shipping and I was at $225. The ebay sale included everything from the Ford.

Re: clarks 4 x 1
I have the 4x1 kit on my 64. It used to have headers but I am back to stock exhaust logs. Here is a picture of the current configuration and I am in the process of installing EDIS. Here is how the car sounds at idle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdNDyx707R0 OK my thoughts after living with the 4x1...

Re: The infamous EDIS conversion
In my car it is just the ignition being controlled by the computer. The Megajolt computer controls ignition only where the Megasquirt control EFI and ignition. The benefits are a much hotter spark, better timing control and ability to dial in specific advance curves based upon load and rpm range. Th...

Re: The infamous EDIS conversion
Nick It has been a long time but I will be 'released' from the east coast soon and back in Chicago. I still have memories of the ride in your car. I FINALLY ordered the Megajolt ECU and will be installing the EDIS in the 64 Corvair in the next couple of weeks. I have all your write ups and already h...

Re: 3.1 liter webber engine build
That is beautiful!! I know this is an older thread but do you remember what idle jets, main jets, emulsion tubes and air corrector jets you used? Are the venturies 37.5mm or were they something different? I want to build a N/A Corvair motor and I have a set of webers already, just looking for a base...

Re: Hello from DC, or is it Chicago?
Thanks, I am planning to go to The Corvair Ranch. I joined the Northern Virginia Club and was going to look into the Baltimore club as well. I actually live in Boyds which is about 20 miles south of Frederick right off 270. I will check out your post on the event and I am sure I will see you there. ...

Hello from DC, or is it Chicago?
Well I disappear off Corvair Center for a while to conduct business and lo' and behold there is a new place to hang out. For those of you who do not know me I generally live in Chicago but am doing dual duty between there and DC for work. I have a 63 Spyder (factory 3 speed car) that will soon be al...
