I thought I read somewhere we couldn't put pictures here. That makes it easier. I don't know why the id tag came out small like that. On the last picture, what do I use as far as sealant goes? I got moly lube for the seal and blue threadlocker for the bolts do I need anything for the gasket? I think...

Transmission Identification?
Hello, Could anyone help me identify this transmission. The numbers I think are- Top line: GM4, Mid line: 3859958 (possibly 6's not 5's but pretty sure 5's because tops are square but looks like the bottoms circles could be closed like a six, and the last digit could actually be a B instead of an 8 ...

I started getting a scared myself but I checked the rotation. It was my understanding that if they used the vw swing axle that they reversed the pinion gear and only had to reverse the engine rotation with and irs? If not I think Ill cry... I thought I checked the rotation vs one on a you tube video...
