Re: Carb Needle Adjustment
Thank you guys. The best I can tell, my engine is a 1965/66 140 hp Corvair, but not in a corvair. it is in a Kit Car. It appears to have 1969 Rochester model HV carbs on it. If anyone else out there might know the factory setting on this smog screw, please feel free to chime in...

Carb Needle Adjustment
You are looking down the throat of my primary carb on a 140 hp corvair. In the bottom right hand corner of the pic, there is a brass needle valve with a slot in the top of the head for a screwdriver, and a spring beneath it. Does anyone know the proper adjustment of this needle valve?
Thank you
Thank you

Re: Carburetor Float
Update.... may have been looking at wrong spec. I have two different documents. One says a float level of 1 1/16, and the other says 1 3/16? A little confused??

Linkage Clip
I need a clip for the throttle linkage where it hooks directly to the crossover bar. This is a larger clip than the others used on the carbs, and I can seem to locate it in the Clarks manual? I have attached a picture showing the upper end of the linkage missing the clip. Any help is appreciated... ...

Re: Carb Problem
I recently took all carbs apart, soaked in cleaner, and put back together as necessary. Put in a few new parts. Float spring installed correctly. When I started the car after putting all carbs back on. I noticed this. Shut it down, took that carb apart, checked float needle function, and put back to...
