Re: Fast EFI Corvair?
Wow CorvairKid, your setup is wild. What kind of power does that put out?
Once I graduate, I would love to dump some money into my car to make it better all around. Suspension, power, reliability, etc. For now I have to "deal" with basically stock.

Re: Fast EFI Corvair?
Definitely too expensive, just thought I'd ask if anyone tried it. I saw someone use a v6 mustang throttle body on a 110 engine before. That was pretty neat.

Fast EFI Corvair?
Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone has put a Fast EFI, or similar, system onto a Corvair using the 4 barrel intake. I've often thought about this method, but due to the price can't go through with it at the moment. I feel like it could be nice for a daily driven car.

Re: Any S10 Corvairs on here??
I have an s10, and a Corvair, but I haven't combined the two yet. I have seen a few pop up on Ebay and craigslist before. I'd really be interested in doing a 4wd one if I ever went that route. I feel like I'd be really hesitant to put a Corvair on any front engine frame because, in my mind, it would...

Re: Buying a Corvair as a first car?
If you have a spare, reliable second vehicle like your grandpa's truck, I see no reason why you can't buy yourself a nice Corvair of your own. I did the same thing a few years ago in my sophomore of high school, however I had a much lower budget and a lot of work ahead of me. I don't regret it one b...

Re: Considering purchasing a 66 Corvair Corsa Convertable
I would suggest posting any pictures you have of the car so that the Corvair wizards on this site can give you more detailed help. What kind of shape is it in? Any rust? Does it run and drive? How's the interior? Any additional information that you may have will help with someone giving you an estim...

Re: Mid Engine Subaru Swap In Corvair?
Wow, that sounds like an awesome build! keep us posted! I really would like to build a kick ass mid engine autocross/street car, so I'm going to be looking at many different builds. The miata front suspension intrigues me. I like that idea. I also love the idea of a vr6 in the rear. I just really lo...

Re: bowls not getting fuel?
Are the electric fuel pumps worth the extra money? I've thought about it in the past, but didn't want to spend the money if the mechanical ones work fine.

Re: Spring loaded clutch disc for Corvair?
Clark's included 6 small washers that replace the retainer. That's what I used. If I'm not mistaken, there's a note on the page of the Clark's book where the spring clutch is for sale explaining it.

Re: LM Hybrid? Crazy idea?
I didn't think of that... You'd need a small gearbox to change the ratio to one that would better suit it.

Re: LM Hybrid? Crazy idea?
Here's a thought, how about mount the motor in the location of the starter? If I'm not mistaken, that's how some of the new hybrid hypercars work. That way, you don't have to worry about transferring power through the belt.

Re: Spring loaded clutch disc for Corvair?
I have the regular spring loaded (non-puck design) clutch disc from Clark's and has been perfectly fine. Granted I only have 1 summer's worth of use on it.

Re: Mid Engine Subaru Swap In Corvair?
I found on these 2 links the subaru engine is 31 inches wide, and the Corvair engine is 28.5 inches wide, so I don't think you'd have a problem squeezing it in there, but what do I know? http://bb.bbboy.net/vwengineconversions-viewthread?forum=3&thread=135" onclick="window.open(this.hr...
