Re: 61 loadside

Congrats,Todd. We have atleast one thing in common...

...a '61 loadside!

Don't listen to the Rampside snobs when they scoff because it doesn't have a ramp. Revel in it's rarity and "load" it like it's nobody's business when you make it a driver. Just make sure to stretch & flex before you do. ggg

Re: Pedigo's '62 8-door PG Corvan

Been on a bit of a safety kick as of late. Mounting this emergency and safety unit to one of the rear wheel humps. Nothing implies a vibe of "safety" like canisters full of kerosene, enclosed in the same confined space with road flares.

Dormatic FC seats are sourced for the custom 8-door Corvan camper build.
Thanks be to Jeff @ The Corvair Ranch.
Last pic is from Selerie Basque's build a couple of years ago. RIP.

I don't see how this story is possible. William Randolph Hearst died 10 years before this van was built.
Perhaps a gift to William's son (Randolph Hearst) as he was located in San Francisco also where original pics of this van were shot at one point in time.

More concerned about nuclear missiles because of the retard in chief. If they pull the trigger, atleast we'll get to experience the island in it's last moment.

Re: Pedigo's '63 Deluxe Greenbrier

Not sure what the fuel takeoff was for. Steve Morton and his wife recently delivered the van for me and I haven't had a chance to thoroughly inspect it. I see it doesn't have the tell of a factory gas heater up front. Probably some hack from back in the day. When we return from Maui,I'll investigate...

Pedigo's '63 Deluxe Greenbrier

Purchased last fall from north of Spokane on the Idaho border. Was under the impression this whole time that is was the obsolete and obscure (late '63-only),102FC/PG. Turns out it's just another 80. Oh well... Interesting features and history though. It was an Alaska van at some point in it's life,s...

Re: This van reached out for help

That's the perfect example of how to destroy a motor. Congratulations. Thanks for the words of encouragement but I'm not completely sold on destroying the motor from running it a bit. Time was spent checking the underside of it looking for damage, leaks, blown rods and the like. It wasn't there. Co...
