Rear accessory housing
I saw an ad on marketplace for a rear accessory housing, non turbo. I am still learning. What are the differences between the two?

Did you look at the corvantics website? They have lots of references for the FC's. Steve and others on there have assembled a great informational site.

Burvis, I can't comment on your ashtray, but I was very impressed with your grammar and punctuation. Folks don't take the time much these days.

engine build checksheet
corvair Engine Rebuilding Record.docx I used the checksheet in Bob Helts book, the Classic Corvair, and personalized it to what I could see me doing. I'd like some constructive ideas in making it better. Caveat I'm a builder of motorcycles engines/components, have been passionate about corvairs sin...

Re: Bob Helt Books For Corvair Newcomers

Re: Wiper motor wiring
I don't have one for reference, but since the two wires (black/white) go to the brushes, the only connection that I could see would be a bonded ground. I wonder if the black wire was tucked under the retaining clip, and pulled free?

It was the gasket that I had referred to, rather than washer. Not really relevant though.

Crankshaft gear pinning
I recently got the gear for my crankshaft, and new washer. From what I have read I will need to upgrade my press to install. Once that is done, based on recommendations, I have been told to weld the gear on, but I also see folks have pinned theirs. I have drill presses, milling machines, and welders...
