Re: Front and rear suspension
Thanks for that, it only breaks once. I can rig something up.Kevster wrote:Make sure you support the upper arms when you push the new bushings in.
Either with the proper tool, or make something up.

Front and rear suspension
I think I am going to replace all the bushings since I have front and rear out of car. Any headache/difficulty issues I should be aware of? Thanks

Needing to replace the shocks on my wife's 63 Spyder. What would you suggest, anything I can buy from my local parts store?

Re: Pulling the entire power unit 63 Spyder
Thank you sir! I have the service manual and supplement. Being a service guy myself, seems the factory always leaves something out. Good to talk with those who have done it

Pulling the entire power unit 63 Spyder
I have had this car (technically my wife's) for 12 years. Time and money, you know the deal. I am going to pull the entire power unit, replacing fuel lines, brake lines, harnesses. I have never pulled one, any pointers and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am going to order new mounts if nee...

Re: Engine rebuild
Thanks, I have several books and will most likely spend winter reading, researching and spending money. Perhaps my wife will let me bring the engine into the basement and go through it

Re: Engine rebuild
Thanks for responding. I had a 65 500 sedan that my girls drove in high school about 10 years ago. I did all the work except the body work. I am a power systems field service tech, have rebuilt other engines in the past, I'm not afraid to tackle it and I definitely ask questions when I am unsure. I ...

Engine rebuild
Been tossing this around in my head, appreciate your opinions. I have a 63 Spyder, been in the shed 10 years. Work and getting kids through college have really kept me from doing much to it. The previous owner rebuilt the engine, never put the car back on the road due to illness, never ran it much. ...

I put a Pertronix in a 65 500 that my girls drove to high school. The Pertronix worked great. I bought a Pertronix II and Flame Thrower coil to put on my Spyder, guess I don't need the resistor now. Pros and cons of the setup on the Spyder? I hope to have it done before the next century. Thanks folks.
