Re: Clutch Starting to Slip...?
OK guys, I'm not trying to "peddle" anything :) I thought the clutch should start engaging after about 3/4" or so with release of the clutch pedal off the floor board. So, after work today, I disconnected the rod that moves the clutch lever. I shortened up the length by about 3 turns ...

Re: Clutch Starting to Slip...?
What I'm trying to say is, that when my clutch peddle is depressed to the floorboards, and then I start releasing it to engage the clutch, I have well more than 3/4" before engagement. My clutch peddle comes up pretty far with nothing happening :) It's been like that since I got it running.

Re: Clutch Starting to Slip...?
Just saw a great, as usual, post by Brad Bodie regarding adjusting the clutch cable. I'll start there because it feels wrong.

Re: Clutch Starting to Slip...?
Thanks to Everyone replying - No oil leaks observed, did not change PP, did seal bolts. I took my Corsa for a drive last night and estimate I have a couple inches of clutch peddle free play before engagement. It's been like that. I suspect that I need to correct this first. Is there an adjustment or...

Clutch Starting to Slip...?
Hi!
I have noticed my clutch starting to slip under acceleration, it has only been in the car about 10,000 miles. I always thought that it may be adjusted too loose, a lot of pedal, but wasn't sure. Any thoughts on adjustments helping out this situation? It's a 1965 Corsa 140.
Thank You!
Alan

Re: 65 Corsa Convertible
Hey! Post a picture or two of your 65 Corsa convertible. I’m getting bored cooped up all the time due to the, Vid-19 environment. It’ll help!

Re: Smoking Some Oil Parked on an Angle?
Finally I'm responding! Thanks everyone for helping. As it turns out I simply overfilled my engine oil by about 1/2 a quart. I have not experienced any more of the smokey oil burning start-up when parked at an angle. My dip stick is hitting the bottom of the pan. My dip stick tube seems right (I act...

Smoking Some Oil Parked on an Angle?
Hi Everyone!! Keep washing your hands and wear a helmet outside. What a mad world! So, onward to Corvairs! I may have done something wrong with my engine rebuild because I've noticed that if my Corsa is parked by the curb on the angle of a road-crown for more than a day, it smokes engine oil at star...

Re: Road Candy 65 Corsa 140
Why does the needle read 91? Hey Joelsplace! Who knows why? My 2015 Nissan Juke's speedometer is a couple of MPH off. I was thinking that maybe a little wayward Indian satellite blasting down some phone-scam and scam email data may have interfered with my satellites. :) My son told me he was only t...

Tel Tal 88MPH - Saves Top Speed
The day before I can see that my son hit 88MPH as a saved peak speed. I had a talk with him. With little traffic on the 101Hwy he took a liberty. I'm watching now. He said the car felt really good.

Crazy Night Changes!
Holley Moley! With the lights turned on the white background turns dark gray/black, the pointer glows red, and the black numbers turn white! How do they do this?

Holy Cheetos! It works!
Wow! The needle sweeps fast to 160 and then back to zero when ignition is started just like a modern car. It would be fun to tell cave-people all about it if I could go back in time, but then again it might be too much for them and they would try to kill me. I'm also going to check in with the natio...

Hi Bbodie52!
The unit was stated to work best when located on the roof, and I feel the hole was a minor alteration considering that I am this car's Savior :) You are correct about all the other options.
It works great!
Stay safe!

GPS Speed-O Steps -
Hi Corvairs! I hope that you're all doing as well as one could expect during these strange days! I'm glad that I had another eBay dash panel after-all chasing used speedometers :) Enlarging the hole for the new multi function satellite receiving GPS Holley speed-O wasn't so easy. Realize that it's n...
