Re: LM tail/brake lights not working
:ty:  If old connections, corrosion and bad electrical connectivity in the engine compartment are a possibility, it can certainly be present throughout the aging wiring harness. Almost everything passes through the multi-connector near the voltage regulator. The two halves of the plastic shel...

Re: LM tail/brake lights not working
Thanks guys. The turn signal switch is new because the horn contact was worn and I could only honk while turning left. Luckily there's just enough play in the wheel...:-). I'll try the other suggestions, meanwhile. Thanks!

LM tail/brake lights not working
Noticed they weren't working and jiggled the wires near the right lamp and poof, they went on. That was the other day. Now, nothing. I checked the connections best I could and replaced what appeared to be a blown fuse. Still nothing. Could a blown bulb cause the trouble?

Convertible Latch
Im thinking of not using the boot this year; too much work if I want to raise lower the top on mixed weather days.... and I have these latches - skinny metal bands with white plastic tops. What and how are they used, and are they needed if Im not using the boot? I cant find pics/videos anywhere...

Re: 160lbs in the Trunk
Ha ha Jeff! The question might be why are there two 200 lbs guys in a car that's just sitting. My tires are big, maybe a little too big: 195/70 R14, so I actually keep about 31# in the front and 33-34 in the back, or the car just don't go anywhere. My mileage went from 9mpg to 15-16 (I mostly drive ...

160lbs in the Trunk
Drove around with 4x 40lb bags of salt for the pool in the trunk today. Round town ok, but the expressway? Not so much.

Sun Visor
Trivial, but damn annoying: Passenger side sun visor (69 'vert, w/ mirror) keeps rotating down. I've replaced the mount assembly (old one was cracked), tightened the screw as much as possible, replaced the plastic tips - both sides, even tried thickening the joints up w/ duct tape which seemed to wo...

Re: Slight Change in Engine Speed
Thanks for everyone's comments. I usually add Stabil 360 at every gas up but got lazy the last 2 times. I added an oz. this morning and after about 2 hours of running errands around town she seemed back to her smooth self. I'll run it more this week and see how it goes...

Slight Change in Engine Speed
I'm starting to detect an occasional slight change in engine speed after shifting gears. Revs up a smidge then settles in, but not every time. Seems to get better as the cars warms, but truthfully I haven't driven the car much or for any substantial length of time in a while. Clutch?

Re: Battery Charger
Thanks. I took a look at the Cen-Tech 66vairguy recommended and I think that may fit the bill. The car never sits for more than a week w/o starting, its more something I need to take w/ me for when I leave the lights on after walking away from the car. Which is often. I looked at those really small ...

Looking for a good, portable not too expensive battery charger to keep in the car for when I forget to shut off the headlights. Theres a zillion out there from $39 - $99 or more. Any recommendations?
