ok so I am throwing my hands up. I have a 62 that I think has a stuck piston. bottom line it needs a complete rebuild. I am in Fayetteville NC and am looking for someone that works on corvairs and will give me a quote on doing a rebuild and maybe more. Right now it is a real mess.
Thanks ,
Bobby

Re: 62 Monza Project
No that's pretty much the way it looked like when we took the shrouds off. I vacuumed out a bunch of leaves and stuff like that. It appears somewhere along the way somebody has put primer all over then cylinders, heads and everything. I figure I will have to clean that off because I think it'll over...

The flywheel is not turning. I think the engine is locked up that is what has me worried. I have not tried to roll it while in gear yet.

Honduras Maroon
Ok so I have been doing some research and found out that my 62 Monza was originally Honduras Maroon (948). I am nowhere near ready to paint her but was wondering if anyone knew if you can still get touch up paint in spray cans for this color.
Thanks in advance.

Starter
Ok so I just had my starter rebuilt and they said it was good to go at the shop. I wanted to test it myself before putting it in the car. I was just using wire from the battery to bump it over and got no joy. I tried all sort of combos with the three spots for wires. Ok so I am so not a mechanic try...
