Sometimes you need more RPM than just idle, I have one that drains out sometimes & I have to drive it 5 miles at 35 to 40 MPH before it loads back up. Other times it pumps up in a few minutes.

You sure the engine number ends with RH???? RH is a two carb 110 HP. The four carb engine should be RN, 140 HP.

Four years ago when I got my 64 the white smoke was there, bad modulator valve. It was sucking trans fluid through the vacuum balance tube, goes right into the intake on both carbs. Failed diaphragm in the modulator valve. That would the first thing I would look for.

Disconnect the vacuum line coming from the modulator valve & see what it does in gear.

That's correct, the boot slides over the tube and goes down into the hole. You can bend it a tad to center it in the hole.

Keep watching this site, their price is up & down on Maxxis P 185x80x13. Right now they are high but 2 months ago they were $87.00. 2 weeks ago they were $92.00 but if you keep watching you will see them go back down.
