Re: Central Coast Corsa Lakewood Garage Squad Project
Nice to see another lakewood getting put back on the road. I hope to have mine finished in time to drive down to the convention. It's getting close!

65-66 crown turbo exhaust housing for sale
I have a very nice crown exhaust housing for 65-66 turbo. This is the non adjustable version. It looks like it has had very little use as there is zero erosion around the outlet and where the turbine shield contacts. It also had very little carbon inside. I bead blasted it and painted with high temp ...

Re: Master Cylinder for Front Disc, Rear Drums
Mid 70's C10 manual front disc/rear drum master cylinder has worked great for me for over 10 years in my corsa. No proportioning valve needed. They have a 1" bore. I picked up another one for the disc brake conversion on my lakewood. My only complaint is that rebuilt units have dried up since I ...

Re: Let's see them wheels
The bolt pattern difference is very slight. The backspace is also not quite correct. There is a solution to fix both problems at the same time and that is an adapter wheel spacer that has 5x4.75 holes and 5x120 studs. The ones I purchased were 20mm thick if I remember correctly.

Re: Final (Hopefully) Wheel Questions
I think he's talking about the lug nuts being tapered. If the wheels use conical lug nuts then you can run without centric rings, although I would still advise to if possible. You are loading the lug studs more without the rings. If they use the straight style with a washer then you will want ...

Re: Are the ebay electronic distributors for corvairs any good?
DO NOT use the Pertronix Flame thrower coils - not up to the job based on my experience. What issues have you had with Flame thrower coils? I ask because there was one in my corsa, along with a pertronix 1 when I bought it in 2006. Both are still running flawlessly and I've put at least 30,000 ...

Re: New here
That is a significant amount of rust to repair. And what you see is just the tip of the iceberg. If you're serious about taking on a ton of metal work then go for it but me personally, I would be looking for a body in better shape. They can be found for not a whole lot of money if you're not in a ...

Re: Engine cases to consider for purchase
It does appear to have the boss though so still possible to use it if that hole is bored out. In my case putting a 140 in my lakewood I just happened to have an XXZ block that used to be in my corsa. Universal LM crate block that has the boss and hole for the filler tube. When in my corsa, that hole ...

Re: Fuel Leak -- I can't find source
There was a time once, after replacing the fuel pump that I had a major leak in that area and it was caused by the screws holding the pump together. They had worked loose and the fuel was coming out around the diaphragm. It was so bad that it was spraying all over the engine. Very dangerous! I tried ...

Re: Installing a dual master cylinder in a 60-61
Those are new 15x7 enkei 92 wheels with 205/50 tires. The bolt pattern is correct but there is no offset available that matches the corvair so I'm using 25mm wheel spacers which puts them right where they need to be. There's not a whole lot of wiggle room in the back on a wagon, I don't think I ...
