Air Cleaner Options?
I have a 140, but it didn’t come with the factory air cleaner setup, so I want to know what other options there are out there. I really like the Performance Air Cleaner From Clark’s, but I don’t have $250 to drop on them. I’m not a huge fan of the “Fitch” style chrome ones they sell. So what’s out t...

You might as well ask us what underwear we use, because you’re gonna get a lot of different answers and opinions. :-D

Re: Has anyone fit a Double DIN Radio in a Late Model glovebox?
I removed the stock radio and modified the opening to accept an single DIN unit. Fits fine and looks great. I especially like the USB port for a flash drive and Bluetooth connectivity to my phone. Yeah I see a lot of people do that, but like I said, I already have the Double DIN unit that I want to...

Re: Has anyone fit a Double DIN Radio in a Late Model glovebox?
I have always mounted a single DIN unit under the center of the dash (easily removable for shows if wanted) and left the stock unit in the dash, or installed a modified looks kinda stocky at first glance radio (Custom Auto Sound for example), or I have customized the steel dash to accept a single D...

Yeah I figured as much. I’m going to see what my options are for mounting “inside” the glovebox.terribleted wrote:A double din radio will not fit in the glove box. The cardboard glovebox is too small to do this. You could remove the glove box and mount it behind the glovebox door perhaps.

Re: Has anyone fit a Double DIN Radio in a Late Model glovebox?
Thanks for informing everyone else Brad.
I’m just asking if anyone has put a Double DIN in their glovebox. My car is packed away for the winter and I’m in the middle of moving, so I can’t really check to see if it fits.

Has anyone fit a Double DIN Radio in a Late Model glovebox?
It’s a common term for modern radio sizes, Single DIN is a standard size Radio and a Double DIN Is like a double stack version, which GM has actually been using for a few decades now.Jerry Whitt wrote:"Double Din Radio" is not a familiar term. What is that?
My picture didn’t show up for some reason.

Has anyone fit a Double DIN Radio in a Late Model glovebox?
I have this nice JVC Head Unit I bought for my truck and it’s not necessarily what I wanted for the truck. Will one of these fit in the glovebox of my ‘68?

Re: Turbocharged street cars/motors
DSCN1633.JPG The main reason that the turbo's run so hot at highway speeds is timing!!! it cant be said enough. Any of the NA corvairs would be running way hot if they had the same distributor and timing. It is the lack of vacuum advance that does that. There' seriously almost 100 degrees differenc...
