Re: Drive on the Tail of the Dragon (Tennessesse US Route 129)

Back in 2009 I ran the route in my Prowler along with about fifty others at the same time.
My parents are in the one behind mine.

Re: Internal Server Error

For what it is worth, I have received this message twice in the past twenty minutes: I took a Screenshot and attempted to post it but for some reason was unable to do so even after making it smaller. Here is my attempt to recreate what I saw: General Error SQL ERROR [mysqli] User 'corvairf_php1' has...

Re: My story on the Electronic distributor

I purchased two of the Electronic Distributors from Seth when in January 2015 to show my support but have not yet installed either of them....I don't know if these were part of the first run or not. Time will tell if I ever do install them if they perform well or not but I have faith they should be ...

I saw this notice in one of the several Local Corvair Club Newsletters I receive each month and thought I might pass on the information for any of you that may have known this individual. Wolf Enterprises employee's passing. Just a note to let folks know that my helper rebuilding Corvair carbs (ove...

Re: Internal Server Error

I was wondering what was going on... Yesterday and Today I had to "Log In" rather than having the site "Remember Me" as it usually does.....It's all Good. These days a bad day on the Corvair Forum is just so much better than a good day on the CCF. P.S. It just ceases to amaze me...

Re: My First Helen Springfest Adventure is over...

Andrea: it was very nice to see you again after all these years since your visit to my home. I am glad you made the trip from Maryland to the Springfest to see this fun gathering of Vair owners. Nice that you won a couple awards for your effort though having the bad luck award is not one to strive ...

Re: My First Helen Springfest Adventure is over...

So glad to make your acquaintance as well. From the moment I saw the Corvair Forum tshirt you were wearing I had to startup a conversation. When you said your alias was "caraholic4life" I had to laugh out loud to meet one of my long time forum Corvair stars! Enjoy the photo of our in pers...

Re: My First Helen Springfest Adventure is over...

"The Greenbrier... will run at 70 MPH when pushed to do so but it gets really noisy inside at the higher speeds. Maybe I need a better seal on the engine cover and need to secure it in place with the correct fasteners." As a veteran of innumerable long-distance Greenbrier trips, I will en...

My First Helen Springfest Adventure is over...

The 2024 Helen Springfest event is now over. I attend for the first time this year and am glad that I had the opportunity. Driving the Greenbrier to and from the event was an experience I will not soon forget as it was the longest distance I have driven it since purchasing it in December 2020. My t...

Re: 8-Door Alert Los Angeles F?B...not mine

P.S. The e-bay listing has several photo's along with the following information: "Here is a very rare 1964 Corvair Corvan 8-door van, one of 718 built. I bought in in 2003 and have used it on my property for transporting all the water pipe and electric pipe I needed to developed my land. I hav...

Re: 8-Door Alert Los Angeles F?B...not mine

If it's even kinda decent it is a smokin deal. Only one picture and the price is too good. Could absolutely be a scam...be careful!! https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/926561235917780/?referral_code=undefined This van is on e-bay at the moment http://www.ebay.com/itm/186382058045?itmmeta=01H...

Re: New Clark's oil pan Which gasket?

When I install Valve Cover or Oil Pan Gaskets, I make sure that the Aluminum surfaces are clean and do not apply any gasket cement to those surfaces. By not applying gasket cement to the Aluminum surfaces, it reduces the chances of gouging them when attempting to remove gaskets that have been adhere...

Re: Parts wanted, NOS only.

Are these the 1965 backup light hole fillers you are looking for? There is a chance I might be persuaded to part with them. When I bought these years ago, I bought them "Just to have" but they did not come with boxes so I can't say for sure that they are or are not NOS. For their age, they...

For reference, you could send the place that thinks they have these somewhere these photo's so they might be able to find them easier? These photo's were taken about ten minutes ago.
