Re: Cal Worthington Dies - Southern California Car Dealer
I was born and raised in Northern California and Cal Worthington was pretty much a houshold name. If you turned on the TV, you were bound to see one of his commercials. He was and is an icon in the auto industry.
Happy Trails Cal.

Re: rust prevention
Good advice guys. That was kind of the plan to only drive it when it was nice once restored. The last thing I would want is rust or to get into an accident due to bad weather \ road conditions. Dave - powder coating was definitely a thought of mine for the suspension parts. durable and looks great. ...

Re: What is the age range of Corvair Fans? (POLL)
I totally agree. While Subarus are fun to drive, you can't beat the look and feel of a classic. You can see from the pics the condition of the car. Its far from a show car (at this point) but driving it home after buying it, I had 2 people give me thumbs up on the car. They are definitely a looker.....

Re: rust prevention
Thanks for the tips. Mediablasting will be first to make sure there is no hidden rust / rot areas, followed by repairs and then paint. The big areas I am curious about is the entire undercarriage. I have a friend that build a kit car and had the entire undercarriage with some type of protective coat...

Re: What is the age range of Corvair Fans? (POLL)
I just hit 40 this month and this was my 1st Corvair and sort of a birthday present (along with my Ibanez JS100 guitar) I love the classics but just haven't had the opportunity to own one til now. Now that I have one, there's no turning back. While I was active in the local Subaru scene, I was one o...

rust prevention

I am doing my research and I want to make sure that I do everything the right way first. So, my plan is to te...

Re: New Kansas Monza owner **Pics Added**
Thanks for the info. Yeah, I have not picked up the car yet (picking it up tonight after work) but the owner let me know that the battery in there is not the right size so it is kind of 'jimmied' in there. I was starting to look for a battery for replacement. You have my job a bit easier.
Thanks

I did find the Belton, MO chapter and plan on joining in. I will definitely check out that meet next year. That is right during my birthday, so would be a ...
