EMYellowVert-05.jpg ' Re: '70 Corvair SWB GT Post by 66vairguy » Thu Aug 09, 2018 11:53 am Valkry9 - The red "Petite" mid engine drawing reminds me of a picture of a Corvair next to the 67 Camaro clay at the GM studios. If you take your red "Petite" car and extend the front end ...

EarlyCorvairGrille-16.jpg EarlyCorvairGrille-17.jpg EMGrille-07.jpg Sort of inspired by a '64 Chevelle grille, like a facia, face of the Chevrolet product line. Still looks so very '60s. Air Cooled Small Block, sohc heads of the Astro, 296 revs happily to ten. Retaining the 4.85 bore spacing and 3....

Re: '65 EM Spyder V8
A custom early, from a '65 GM styling viewpoint, inspired by the Black's 427 LM, the treatment of the grille, awesome work. Back then, it was all shiny chrome and stamped grilles, still loved to this day, lol. Re-imagining the factory's decision to stop the production of the early model while sendin...

Well, all this drawing and 'imagineering' will, eventually, have a resultant. So, start slicing and dicing any random derelict Vair into a polished gem, desired. MidVair-014-YellowStinger.jpg Less refined, rough around the edges. I'll do more to bring the impact bumper to '75 standards. This iteration is a similar shape, familiar to 914 enthusiasts. :) The source of the SWB above, an awesome build, the paint a deep cherry. http://www.superchevy.com/features...

'70 Corvair SWB GT

A time capsule Corvair engine, that's such a bonus.
Man,when I was 7 I was still playing with toy cars in the sandbox.

All pix?
This is the only pix i've got of this low shelled bug.
Certainly,he's modded the engine beyond the valve covers.
Where might I find more?
