Re: some cool rims
Look like Pontiac 15". If you MUST run them, they make spacers in several thickness. But the fenders will be subject to rubbing on turns. Be sure . Be safe. Thanks for reading

Also notice that there usually a hex socket in the end of the shaft. Hold hex wrench and turn open or box end wrench.

Re: What is definition of "dog dish" hub cap?
Small center wheel cover snapping on wheel only covering the lug nut area. When layed on the ground with open side up makes a wonderful dog dish. Ford and Chevy early pickups all came with "dog dish" caps. I have a 40's Chevy Deluxe cap on my wall with clock works and numbers added . Makes...

Re: Why aren't Corvairs more popular?
Corvairs are not your everyday easy to understand, to work on, to repair , and cost 3 times more expensive to purchase parts for than the Nova, Mustang, Chevelle ect. So, knowing that, I love mine with the wow factor "Look, is that a Corvair?" Always draws a crowd no matter where I go. I h...

Re: CORVAIR UNDERGROUND
Well LON, I just read your latest update and no matter how you write it, you still stole my money (check sent that you cashed DEC 28,2011 for a coil and Igniter that you recomended) After several emails and three phone calls to you with your assurance every time that it would ship the next day, it N...

Re: Exploding Magnesium Fan!
I am not doubting your information but I know that if the fan sucks in any piece of metal, nut, screw, etc., it may possible explode as shown. This usually happens at higher fan speed but my fan has chipped of a rather large piece at idle and can only guess what would happen at 3500 engine RPM. Than...

Re: Upgrading to dual exhaust
If at this time if you only want duel exhaust, Clark's makes a welded set that is the same size as the 140 HP EXCEPT the flange that bolts to the manifolds. The 110 being smaller dia at manifold outlet than the 140 HP. I have used both types , the multi clamp on and the Clarks welded and fill that t...

Re: CORVAIR UNDERGROUND
Sorry for your woes. Under funded has driven many companys new and old to their knees. I always said from the first day I opened my business that I would NEVER go broke owing anyone , suppliers nor customers money. I never excepted any order that I could not ship at once or giving the customer the o...

Re: Corvair " Still No Match For Mustang" Vintage film
I so enjoyed the film as it hit home on several notes. I never, never compared a Mustang to a Corvair. My Dad bought a 66 Mustang 6cyl 3 speed to drive to work after I just married . My best friend that I have noted several times now with so many miles bought a 65 Corvair Corsa that was totaled when...

Re: Hi-Torque Starter - install in '65 Monza HELP !
I must have missed why a Hi-Torqe was needed for your 65 Monza 110 hp. My friend in Colorado with 65 140 Corsa and 180,000 miles and both of my 65 Monza 110 PG's have never failed to start with no problems ever ( hot 105 deg here in Texas and cold 05 deg in Colorado). Good battery and good wiring an...
