I don't have anything on my car at all right now, so it's a blank slate. My dad had individual air cleaners on it back in the 70's, but sold them off at some point. I don't hate the factory 140 set up, but like I said, I don't have the parts, so I'm seeing what else is available.
So I really like the performance filters from Clarks that I see on a lot of people's 140s, but I don't have $230 to drop on a set right now.
I know people use other types, I'd like to see what you have. I do not have the factory cleaner assembly, my dad had individual cleaners that disappeared ...
Has anyone ever tried to update windshield wiper motor with a newer faster motor. Current motor works but even on high speed is to slow for the Florida cloudbursts.
Thanks for the reply guys. I readjusted the floats and checked the needle valve and the flooding stopped. Car is running again but is idleing too high. Both idle adjust screws are fully out but still at 1500 rpm. Im also getting a pop from the exhaust frequently from the right side. Reset the timing ...
I have a 65 corsa 4carb. I just rebuilt one primary. When the car is running gas pours out the float vent tubes and floods the engine. Gas pours over the sides of the carb throat. What is wrong? The floats are adjusted per specs.
I have a 65 Corsa that I bought recently that was sitting for years. Car runs well but I fear the internals are all clogged with old oil. Is there a good additive to clean out the internals prior to new oil change.
Thanks guys for the info. I'll try the condenser and coil idea. The carbs were taken out gone over top to bottom cleaned and reinstalled. One carb was not working so it was replaced. As for the plastic spacers, all are present and in good shape. Thanks again for the help. I'll let you know how ...
Thought I had it fixed, went out for a ride today in my 65 Corsa 4 carb, it ran like a champ for 30 minutes, stopped at a store for a few minutes came out and it ran like crap all the way home. In the past few weeks I've put new plugs, plug wires, had all four carbs serviced, I just don't get it ...
My manifold gauge reads minus 20-30mm all the time. Is this normal? The car runs great when just stating out but begins stalling out at lights. Hard to keep running. Just cleaned all carbs new plugs and plug wires just installed. What's wrong?
