Re: '65 Corsa driver build.

For 91Blaze and Nashville Chris: I've been daily driving this for a week and half now. These seats are comfortable, even with missing the padded vinyl covers. But I'm 32 and decently flexible yet, many ajustment positions to get the seats how the driver/passenger wants them. My passengers when I hav...

Re: '65 Corsa driver build.

Corvair is alive! First time this machine has had a flat 6 rumble in 27 years.
Now all the carbs need rebuilt but new air filters will be in today. A few other non engine related things to take care of but this car is hitting the road soon.
Thanks for all the looks and comments everyone.

Re: '65 Corsa driver build.

Thanks! Latest: one head needed two valve guides replaced and one exhaust valve, all that will be on today. I got the 140 short block ready to receive the heads. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z283/polyskidd/20141020_223431_zpsuj56h3ht.jpg Right before I put the bell housing on. I'm not sure who...

Also while all that stuff is going on I bought a take out from early 70's. A complete 180hp turbo Corvair engine. It's in OH and probably be a couple weeks before I can go pick it up.Image

Re: '65 Corsa driver build.

So 110 coming back out, "I said it was temporary lol" and my dad and I are building a 140 quicker than the original plan. The short block I got with the car is super nice. Forged .030 pistons, new crank shaft, clean fresher build, very low miles. It's the original block for the car which i...

Re: '65 Corsa driver build.

But did not run.. Update: Kind of a waste of time. Well no it's a refresher course on Vairs. My dad is involved in this and I'm taking his word on the condition of parts, only now I have to take charge as he may be forgetting or my uncle sabotaged it. I'm going with latter because my dad is still de...

Re: '65 Corsa driver build.

The covers and shrouds are dirty, dusty and rusted but that is ok this is a temporary engine after all. The real engine the 140 gets a lot of Chrome: http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z283/polyskidd/20140921_193014_zps2lmfhpbj.jpg And home in the car. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z283/polyski...
