Wow thank you for all of the info and links! And yes you found me, southeast corner of BC, 10 minutes from the Idaho border. Vancouver is about 11 hours away over 5 mountain passes...so we don't make it over there too often. However Spokane is our nearest major shopping area so we make that trip ...

I love this forum! The exact same thing happened to me yesterday, filled the tank for the first time only to find that it leaks...and I suspect it is the filler hose too as the leak has already stopped and I haven't lost much fuel. Thank you once again for the wealth of info.

Thank you! This is really interesting, as somewhere along the way the interior has been changed to black. I had suspicions, as when I was cleaning it yesterday I noticed a bit of red in places that the black paint has worn.
