I recently sold a radio and bezel from a 63 I parted out. It also had a two section opening in the bezel. The radio was a Motorola and not Delco. In the top slot the words ALL TRANSISTOR appeared. The buttons and dial in the lower slot. It was determined this was an after market, dealer installed ...

Should be a battery box bolted in which would support the battery at about 2 inches from lid to top of battery.

If vacuum is decreased by leaking intake valves the timing will be retarded by vac. advance unit. I had this problem with a 140. With broken spring, the valve would seat at low rpm but bounce as rpms came up. This caused the low vacuum. Jerry
