Re: Leaning Engine of Pisa
Maybe some pictures of the leaning issue and the crossmember would help if you have some available. I've never owned and EM before so not sure what may be going on with yours. If I remember correctly, I had three bolts in mine and one was missing making it drop down a bit. I haven't had this car for ...

Re: hide-a-key
I found a hide-a-key under the spare tire mount - had the car most of a year before I found it.

Jeff - it's T0329Z. Brad was helping me decipher this in another post earlier this year here: viewtopic.php?f=55&t=9143. Dealing with a little bit of a franken-engine it looks!

Re: Oil switch - shrouds for a temp/press issue question.
Thanks Brad - I actually have the switch there in the adapter. The other pics are helpful - again thanks for detailing this so well it really does help me out! Pictures are worth a lot when I'm not entirely sure of the correct location/terminology! Here's a shot of my adapter (thanks to google photo ...

Re: Oil switch - shrouds for a temp/press issue question.
Thanks Brad! If it were a wire issue wouldn't that create more of a random occurrence where the light would come on and off? This seems to come on and stay on. I will definitely check though for sure next time I can get out there. It probably won't be till next week though as the next two nights are ...

Re: Oil switch - shrouds for a temp/press issue question.
Ok - well finally got around to getting the switch replaced. Took out the alternator and checked the oil cooler - all looked good - blew it out a little just to be sure. Replaced everything and took it out. Top down with a hoodie - didn't want to bother to put up the top and I have no heat - but ...

Oil switch - shrouds for a temp/press issue question.
Hi all, I hope this doesn't sound too stupid for me to ask. I just like knowing exactly what to do. I've been reading some posts here and on CC just want to make sure I'll be going down the right path. First a little history - I've had the car since July '14 and have put about 1700 miles or so on ...

Doesn't seem like a bad price for someone and two engines... (condition unknown)... If I were closer I'd go check it out...

Chris is a really nice guy. I stopped out last year when I was looking for my current Vair. He has a lot of stock - also keeps several non Vairs on his lot to help support the business as a whole. He's more than willing to help out and knows what he's talking about. Prices were OK - he's honest ...

Great progress - the car looks great! I can't wait till I can get my Vair looking as good as yours! Though that may take decades...!
Love the detail pics! Have a good one!

Nice looking car there! There's the Milwaukee Corvair or the Madison club by you if you didn't already know. Also - there's a corvair show that hosted by Milwaukee Corvair club and the Chicago Corvair Enthusiast club have every year that is this Saturday at the Volo Auto museum in Volo, IL (about 70 ...

Re: Smokin' Deals!
Here's a link to pair of Corvairs down in Central IL - I thought I had posted them last year - but I can't find the original post. The family that owns them are very nice. The cars were the wife's father's cars from his collection (originally 11). These were what they had after he passed. I looked ...

Re: '66 Monza leaking water drivers side vent inside
Hey Chris - If I'm remembering correctly - the water drains down through the body panels, then out through a tunnel in the rockers and finally through a hole towards the back wheel (should have a small rubber flap covering it - make sure that's not plugged up with old leaves, etc). If the entry to ...
